All children who will be five on or before August 1, 2024, are eligible to enroll for
the 2024-2025 school year. Please share this information if you know of any
children who qualify.

Wawasee Community School Corporation will be holding Kindergarten
Roundup on Thursday, April 18, 2024. All Wawasee Elementary Schools will
be hosting it in each of their buildings that evening.

You can come any time between 3:30-6:00 p.m.

Please bring:
● Your child’s State-issued birth certificate
● Your child’s immunization records
● Provide your current address, phone number, and email address if applicable.

Wawasee Early Learning Center is a learning center available to any child, ages 3-5, in the Wawasee Community School Corporation district. The Wawasee Early Learning Center employs a lead teacher and a paraprofessional. The Wawasee Early Learning Center costs $25 a day. There is an additional, non-refundable, $50 registration and supply fee. Students at Wawasee Early Learning Center will have access to a school breakfast (only if accessed before school care) and lunch, as well as a daily snack. Parents can set up accounts in Skyward to pay for these meals or packs. Snacks will continue at no cost.

The Wawasee Early Learning Center will utilize the HighScope curriculum, in addition to following the early childhood guidelines set by the Indiana Department of Education. Additional training will be provided to staff in the area of CPR, bloodborne pathogens, and mandatory reporting of child abuse and neglect. All staff will complete the trauma training used by the Wawasee corporation, The 7 Essential Ingredients of a Trauma-Informed School. The Wawasee Early Learning Center is open for 180 days. Wawasee Community School Corporation is in session and adheres to delays, closings, and teacher workdays that are built into this calendar. A commitment to attending is a commitment to attend the Wawasee Community School Corporation calendar days.
