Wawasee Community School Corporation

Student-Centered, Learning-Focused, Community-Rooted

Community

Introducing the Wawasee Community Alliance Program. Eight sessions. One powerful experience. Take a seat at the table where education, leadership, and community intersect.

Wawasee Schools Community Alliance

This year, Wawasee Community School Corporation is excited to launch a brand-new initiative: the Wawasee Schools Community Alliance, a hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience designed to connect community members with the heartbeat of our schools.

The Wawasee Schools Community Alliance will provide selected participants with an inside look at how Wawasee Schools operates, from the classroom to the boardroom, and everything in between.

Whether you’re a parent, business owner, alumni, retiree, or simply someone who cares about the future of our schools, this program is your chance to understand the "why" and "how" behind the decisions, programs, and people that shape the Wawasee experience.

Why It Matters

We know that strong schools build strong communities and strong communities build strong schools. The Wawasee Schools Community Alliance is about partnership. It’s about transparency. And most of all, it’s about empowering our residents to become informed advocates for public education and active contributors to our district’s continued success.

Graduates of the program will be invited to stay involved with Wawasee through future project teams, feedback opportunities, committee participation, and district events.

What You’ll Learn

Over the course of 8 uniquely designed sessions throughout the school year, cohort members will:

  • Learn about district finances, curriculum, operations, and student services
  • Tour buildings and facilities, including our new construction projects
  • Meet with district leaders, teachers, students, and staff
  • Engage in open conversations about education, planning, and school culture
  • Gain a deeper understanding of the Warrior Experience and how it drives every aspect of our work
