NLC Lady's XC Championship

 NLC CHAMPIONSHIP
Saturday was the NLC Championship, and the Warriors came ready to RACE!
The girls kicked off the morning with some fireworks! Every girl ran either a season best or a new PR!
Bailyn Likens led the Warriors, finishing 9th overall with a new PR! That performance moved Bailyn up to 8th all-time in Wawasee history and made her the 5th-fastest junior in school history!
Sophie Hunter crushed a new PR of her own and put her name in the record books as the 20th-fastest girl in Wawasee history!

The girls finished 4th in the NLC! The Varsity boys came ready to race and it was exciting to watch.  The NLC is DEEP, and our guys stepped up when it mattered most. The Warriors put together their FASTEST TEAM PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON and battled their way to a 2ND-PLACE FINISH IN THE NLC CHAMPIONSHIP!
They competed for each other, fought for every position, and showed just how far this team has come. Finishing NLC RUNNER-UP is something these guys should be extremely proud of — and the best part is, we don't believe they're finished yet!
NLC Men's XC Championship

NLC Men's XC Championship

Senior Mason Worrell put together an awesome second half of his race to finish 6th overall, with Bently right behind him in 8th!
Two Warriors behind them came through with new personal records:
JD Stoffel — 13th, 16:51 PR!
Kolton Eaton - 19th, 17:00 PR!
Jude and Ivan were close behind, with Gabe rounding out the varsity race with a season-best time!

In the JV race, Liam led the Warriors with his second-fastest time of the season.
Senior Zane Likens ran a new PR of 18:29
Sophomores Eli Garcia and Miguel Sanchez both ran new personal bests, while senior Abram Ervin closed out his season with a new season-best performance!
It was an awesome showing at the last regular season race of the season. The varsity team will compete next back at Oxbow park for the Sectional race on Saturday, October 17th.
